Common Name: Lutea Water Trumpet
Cryptocoryne lutea also comes to us from Sri Lanka. The leaves are usually dark green and some display a subtle veiny texture. As with most other types of water trumpet, propagation is via runners. New shoots burst through the substrate just a few centimetres away from the parent plant.
A easy to maintain plant great for the foreground or midground depending on the size of your aquascape.
Cryptocoryne lutea
Light: Medium - High
Temperature: 71 - 82 °F
pH: 5 - 8
Water Hardness: Very soft - Hard
Remove the plant from the pot and remove the rock wool and rinse in water. Remove any dead leaves. Using aquascaping tweezers, plant in substrate.
This plant grows very slowly, which means it requires very little maintenance. As with many rosette-like plants, only the older, outer leaves should be removed. CO2 is not required but addition will defenitly help. A nurient rich substrate is also recomended.
DO NOT RELEASE PLANTS AND LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS.
