Common Name: N/A
Limnophila hippuridoides is originally from Asia and the stalks grow to be 20-50 cm high and 6-10 cm wide often with beautiful outwards crooked shoot tips. A simple plant, able to adjust to various conditions.
The leaves are green with a red-violet underside, and the whole leaf turns red-violet under ideal growth conditions. A vigorously growing plant that willingly creates new, solid shoots from the base. If either stem or leaves are damaged, a strong scent is emitted.
A great easy midground to background plant to add a splash of color to your aquascape!
Limnophila hippuridoides
Remove the plant from the pot and remove the rock wool and rinse in water. Remove dead leaves. Using aquascaping tweezers, plant in substrate.
In order to get the red-purple coloration we recomend medium to high lighting. Although not required we recomended CO2 injection. Thinning of the oldest and longest shoots is recommended, in order to make room for new shoots. You can replant the trimmings to create a denser bush of the plant.
DO NOT RELEASE PLANTS AND LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS!
